Honest Expression is a performance showcase event focusing on providing a platform for local youth and young adults to express themselves through the urban arts. Artist of all ages, skill level, backgrounds, beliefs, and orientation unite to celebrate and preserve a community of many generations influenced by Hip Hop culture. These unique, young artists are given a rare opportunity to express themselves through multiple outlets including, not limited to, spoken word, murals, street dance, and music. Honest Expression also aims to provide educational opportunities to at-risk youth through workshops led by local and world-renowned mentors from within the community who are successful in other areas of life.
