For the Culture is a project done in response to studies conducted through the Learning, Diversity, and Urban Studies M.Ed. program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, T.N. The purpose of this s ​ The project centers around the following inquiries: ​ 1. What type of language, verbal cues, and conversations support the development of a child’s cultural development and understanding of their relationship to the world, leading to a sense of self, through critical thought? 2. What are the structures, pedagogy, and resources already being implemented to support critical thought surrounding diversity and belonging in young children? 3.
