There are higher resolution maps of the surface of Moon and Mars than for the Earth's seafloor. Only ~25% of the seafloor has been mapped at high resolution, and that is because it is extremely challenging to explore the bottom parts of the oceans. Yet, some scientists strive to overcome these challenges and reach the seafloor in order to unlock more knowledge about how our planet works.
This is a seminar series dedicated to bring together scientists working on ocean tectonic settings, across disciplines including but not limited to geology, geophysics, geochemistry, marine geosciences. Seminars are hosted virtually ~once a month.
