The award-winning pianist and composer Casey Crosby grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountain region of Northern Virginia and in a small farming community in upstate New York. Aged ten Crosby started to take piano lessons and soon discovered his passion for the instrument. Casey studied piano, organ, music theory and voice in Lynchburg (VA) and at the renowned Setnor School of Music in Syracuse (NY). During his university years he went to a concert of the pianist George Winston and was deeply moved by the way how Winston interpreted music. Crosby was signed as a tour and session pianist with various record labels and toured the world with different bands and artists from all genres. Being trained as a classical pianist but growing up with gospel, country and Irish music and having played for various blues, jazz and pop Crosby developped his own style of music located somewhere in between new age, classical, rural folk piano and jazz. His album "November" won silver at the Global Music Awards.
