Sheryl Mebane's a songwriter, singer, actor (Nora Night), writer (screenwriter, poet, novelist, etc.), drummer & researcher. She’s releasing her 1st solo music project, Love Lust Life (indie soul that gets you moving). sherylsvoice.com/epk Sheryl won awards & grants for writing & music & won grants for research. She played in or toured with jazz, rock, blues & alt rock bands plus played in & composed for Tangria Jazz Group. She studied jembe drumming in West Africa & was in lots of UNC-Chapel Hill music ensembles & bands as a Morehead scholar. She sung, acted & played percussion at the National Museum of American History. In research, she earned a chemistry PhD, worked on empowering underserved communities & published in environmental justice & educational equity. She has a young son & taught green chemistry.
