I am Paul Madzore ,a Zimbabwean rights activist and a music artist with the Citizens Coalition for Change led by Adv Nelson Chamisa. Zimbabwe has been on a rough road since the 1890s when the settler colonial minorities suffocated not just our country, but Africa in general. Our basic rights to decent life and liberty were taken away by the settler minority. As time went by, the oppression of the black majority became institutionalised and at some point breaking point was reached such that Zimbabweans converged and waged different struggles against the settler minority rule. In the 1970s it became so apparent that the majority Zimbabweans were glued together for a common cause, not just to remove white minority dictatorship, but to bring about change and instal a leadership that would respect the dignity of all Zimbabweans irrespective of colour.
