Liszt Ferenc nagy részt vállalt a Zeneakadémia megalapításában, és 1875-től haláláig az intézménynek tanára és elnöke is maradt. Egykori lakásában állandó kiállításon mutatjuk be Liszt eredeti hangszereit, bútorait és a róla készült ábrázolásokat, a tematikus időszaki kiállításokon pedig a gyűjtemény más kincseiből (pl. kottákból és levelekből) válogatunk. Szombatonként matinékoncerteket rendezünk a Kamarateremben, ahol maga Liszt és tanítványai is gyakran játszottak.
Franz Liszt played a great role in establishing the Academy of Music, and was president of the institution from 1875 until his death. In his former residence, we present his original instruments, furniture and different portrayals as part of the permanent exhibition. The thematic periodic exhibitions consist of other treasures from the collection (e. g. scores and letters). Every Saturday morning during the season, we organise matinee concerts in the Chamber Hall, where Liszt himself and his pupils had often performed.
