Who and what is SeizupFPV?
After a gnarly workplace spinal injury left me unable to walk I knew my skating years were sadly behind me. After 2 years of epidural injections, intense physio and finally lumbar surgery I was able to stand once again. However my mental health never quite bounced back, this is where I started my FPV (First Person View) journey.
Shortly before New Zealand went into the first Covid19 lockdown in 2020 I managed to scrape together enough money selling artwork to buy a secondhand Taranis QX7. With no prior RC or flight knowledge the learning curve was steep but through a local group and some patience I was able to get in the air with an older analog box goggle setup.
However due to having no prior experience I found the standard controls very cumbersome, I quickly adopted my own style that a few of the locals have coined as "Goofy"
I fly mode 4 with pitch inverted.
The name "Seizup" came from Seize Up - to become stiff/immobile, something that I try to avoid.
