Mellow Records was created in 1991 by vinyl collector Mauro Moroni and musician Ciro Perrino, who wanted to venture back into the music label business.
The aim was to reissue past jewels of the past and to publish creative music from new interesting bands and help artists to realize their projects.
The label continues to look forward towards more interesting and divergent music. Moroni added that he "tr(ies) very hard not to look backwards when it comes to music. I don't want to recreate something I liked back then, but find the musicians who make me excited in the same way that old music did."
