The Playhouse Soap Opera lovingly parodies the soap opera genre and all it's cliches: evil twins, split personalities, incest, melodramatic acting, actors being replaced with no explanation, long lingering closeups. The action takes place in the small Mishawaka Playhouse in Mishawaka, Indiana. The town may be small but the egos are larger than life. Watch as the warring factions fight for artistic control of the theater in the wake of the artistic director's death. And no one has half the talent they think they have.
