I'm Ross Hollow, based out of Asheville NC. I started this project off solo as a stage name, but it evolved into a full band from 2017-2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Recently I've been writing and playing solo again with the occasional harmony from my wife. I've been writing music ever since I started playing guitar as a sophomore in high school (oh so long ago now). As most artists have to do, I googled my name and discovered there were a bunch of Stuart Johnson's in the world and also in the music industry. I googled around and used my middle name Ross and discovered that Ross Hollow was available. I have grown to like the name because I write a lot of folk/americana music and Hollow reminds me of home, where I grew up in Burnsville NC. I write often of the mountains of Western North Carolina but love to challenge myself with lyrical and genre fusions. I'm glad you are here, and I hope you can find some of my music you like :)
