Music is life. A bit about me. I started working around Detroit's music scene in the early 90s after high school. I got a job as a Door Host/Bartender at The State Theatre (now The Fillmore), which lead to Security at the infamous blind pig called Red Door. Then, I worked my way up to Head of Security at St Andrew's Hall/The Shelter. Coincidentally, I began organizing & promoting concerts, rave parties & nightclubs from Detroit to Pontiac during the same time. It only felt natural to "become a DJ" at this point, as I had already started collecting vinyl records. I put everything on hold once my fascination with beat-matching kicked in & I started performing at clubs & underground parties around the midwest. Years later, I started podcasting & eventually started the record label Equal Recordings. Full circle, I'm currently working at Small's in Hamtramck, owned by my old boss Mike from St. Andrews while continuing to work on various projects. You're welcome to follow the progress here.
