Dani What YouTube Channel Dani What, stage name of Danilo Cosa (born May 5, 1993, in Reggio Emilia), is an Italian singer and musician. He grew up with the musical legacy of his father, a former singer and DJ in his youth, who introduced him to many musical genres, including blues, funk, and rock. His first real foray into professional music came while in a heavy metal band. In 2009, he founded his own metal band, Blaskhyrt, with musician friends. The group recorded a demo, two albums, and an EP, performing at clubs and festivals throughout northern Italy. In 2015, he began studying classical music at the conservatory and earned a master's degree in opera singing in 2024. Meanwhile, he moved on to electronic music and R&B and began experimenting with Ableton. In 2022/2023, he released his first solo singles, "1st Time," "Cosa C'è," and "Purple." In 2025, his first album of original songs, "On My Own," was released, preceded by the singles "Light Times" and "Hello Hell-oh."
