Salt the Earth was formed in the winter of 2001 in Lawrence, KS. Originally the intent was just to make straightforward rock music, but the sound quickly evolved into a more melodic hardcore sound with guitar-work reminiscent of early metal bands with poppy undertones and loads of energy.
