The Inishowen Community Media Network (ICMN) was established to provide Inishowen with a community media training and broadcast service, to include radio, digital media and online TV. We are not-for-profit, community owned and operated, focused on using digital media as a tool for community development and promoting local issues, talent and entrepreneurship. We want to give a voice to our community and provide it with platforms to talk to itself. Our aim to establish a community radio station and develop other strands of digital media. Our role is to foster a sense of identity, promote Inishowen and the skills, talents and endeavours of its people and maintain links with our diaspora, many of whom left due to the recession and the demise of traditional industries such as fishing, farming and textiles. ICMN will use media to tackle problems of social exclusion by providing training and opportunities to all sectors of our community.
