John Anthony Hegarty aka John Haggis, hails from Cork, Ireland, and has been making music for almost 40yrs. Signed to Sony as Singer/Songwriter with Emperor of Ice-cream in 1992 and released 3 EP's. Set up Sofa Records, while in college in Dublin, in 1999. Released 3 critically acclaimed solo albums & 3 compilations of unsigned Irish alternative music, 'Music for People with Long Ears'. Played drums and produced 2 records with Katie Kim. Opened the 'Granny it's Ok to Experiment' Studio in Waterford in 2008. Recorded with Ugly Megan, Burrows, House of Cosy Cushions, Sweet Jane, September Girls, Captain Beans, Natty Wailer, amongst others. Currently writes and releases music under the moniker, Band of Clouds. The band have released four critically acclaimed albums thus far and are close the finishing the final part of the the Outside Broadcast Trilogy. Also releases music with Gammy Origami & Speckled Doves.
