Sam Utah began his creative musical journey in the late 1970's when he taught himself some basic musical keyboarding skills and briefly studied music theory with an instructor. Over the years Sam Utah has published 5 CD Baby albums of improvisations, two of which are still available, Inner Journey and Paying Forward. He has curated some older songs on YouTube as well. Sam is also exploring and publishing his lyrics using music generation AI services. AI music generation is quite impressive, sometimes improving on the intentions of the lyrics. Sam Utah took his brand name from an obscure reference in one of Frank Herbert's Dune novels where an addicting type of music called Semuta. It was an in-joke that was a bit too obscure so it was changed to Sam Utah and that stuck. Sam Utah is actually Stephen Kennedy from Santa Cruz, Ca where he does all the music creation in his home studio.
