Parasite TXHC is a Hardcore/Beatdown band from Corpus Christi, Texas, established in 2022. The project began between guitarist/founder Daniel Benavides and vocalist/songwriter Ruben Zavala. Ruben wrote lyrics while Daniel wrote heavy riffs and designed the band’s original Parasite logo, still used today. After completing their first two songs, the duo expanded into a live band with drummer Alano Perez. Following local shows, Parasite became a five-piece with bassist Jason Salazar and rhythm guitarist Brent Abbacchi, strengthening the bands beatdown sound all while in high school. In 2025, Parasite released their debut single, “Fueled By Hate,” followed by their debut EP, FUELED BY HATE, on June 6, 2026. Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Matt Ryan of Design The Skyline, the EP features “Fueled By Hate,” “Addiction,” “Crowdkillaz,” and “Against Me.” The release gained traction on Spotify, with “Crowdkillaz” becoming the band’s top track as Parasite continues to grow across South Texas.
