Flo Anito is a petite DC based singer/songwriter with a great big voice. Classically trained in piano, cello, voice, and guitar, she pens jazzy pop music in the vein of Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, and Nellie Mckay. Since graduating from Wesleyan University in CT, Flo has performed at some of the biggest venues in DC - Merriweather Post Pavilion, Strathmore, Blues Alley and Sydney Harman Hall. In 2014 Flo organized her first European tour, playing 18 shows in 15 cities in 5 countries in 6 weeks. Her music has received great reviews from the Washington Post, LA Examiner, and NPR. Her song Uh Oh was a finalist in the Cosmo Radio Breaks the Band contest and received airplay on Sirius; her music video for the same song won the Grand Prize on OurStage.com. She has been nominated several times for Wammy awards and was named Best DC musician by Deli Magazine, Radio Crystal Blue, and Mi Gente Hispana, Flo's cd, No Dustbunnies, is available on CDbaby, iTunes, and the like.
