Efraím Díaz worked as a percussionist in the Banda Municipal de Música de Lugo (2002–2024) and as a teacher at the Escola Municipal de Música of the Concello de Lugo (2012–2024). He also taught in conservatories in Monforte, Vilalba, Melide and A Coruña, and in music schools in Sarria, Guitiriz, Visantoña and Sada.
He is currently a civil servant of the Xunta de Galicia in Secondary Education (Music). He holds a PhD in cultural heritage from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, with the thesis Os procesos de mutación e troco na cultura. O pito pastoril na Galicia, awarded international mention and cum laude distinction.
He has released three solo albums: Viaxe por Kallaikía (2008), Pito Galego (2015) and Pito Pastoril e Banda de Música (2019).
