Ulf Kleiner is a freelance pianist & composer based in Mainz/Germany. ::: www.ulfkleiner.de ::: Ulf grew up in Bayreuth, widely known for classical composer Richard Wagner. Fortunately he also soon discovered his father's huge collection of Jazz-Lp's, which showed him the way. After school he moved to Mainz and studied Jazz piano at Johannes-Gutenberg-University. Since more than 15 years, Ulf is a teacher for jazzpiano at the same university he studied at. He worked with musicians like Charlie Mariano, Till Brönner, Jeff Cascaro, Larry Carlton and Marcos Valle as well as with electronic musicians like Ian Pooley or Paul Van Dyk. He has produced albums of Jeff Cascaro, Caro Trischler, Chris Zimmer, Daniel Stelter, Fola Dada and is a member of DePhazz and Fola Dada's band. On March 1st. 2020 his piano solo album PIANSOKOP was released. Which was continued 2022 in collaboration with drummer Sebastian Merk: 'The Steingraeber Session'.
