LLC’s latest single (& subsequent EP) “One Step At A Time” showcases his signature for upbeat-emo 00’s pop-punk music. All the while leaning more into alternative-rock territory with it’s high energy & breakdowns.
Originally sung by R’n’B starlet, Jordin Sparks (American Idol), this crafty creative interpretation is of a different ilk.
Which also features the recognisable raspy tones of Nick Thompson from US pop punkers Hit The Lights (& Thief Club, his solo project).
Reminiscent of bands like: Jimmy Eat World, Yellowcard & Fall Out Boy.
Lorenzo shares “I’ve grown up on 90’s alternative radio friendly pop tunes but more so influenced by the pop punk heavyweights of the 00’s (when this genre was “popular”) that I wanted to blend both worlds. And to have someone like Nick (from Hit The Lights) explore that too with me, felt more powerful. Besides it’s uplifting & encouraging message, I immediately heard how I could “amp it up” plus make it oh-so-FUN!”
