The Society for the History of Czechoslovak Jews was established in 1961 in New York, as the successor to the inter-war society of the same name founded in Czechoslovakia in 1928. The society seeks to commemorate Jewish history in the region covered by the boundaries of the first Czechoslovak Republic established in 1918, and today covering Czech Republic, Slovakia and the western part of Ukraine.
