I am from The Netherlands. In 1966/67 I was in Surinam to fulfill my military duties (TRIS). In those years I learned to appreciate Caribbean music, especially the Merrymen of Barbados, who started at that time to conquer the Caribbean and North American world. In my “maaisan100” youtube channel I show music movies of all kind of artists from the Caribbean. More recently I'm specially interested in music from Curaçao.
