The Malayalam District Council (MDC) of the South India Assemblies of God is a fellowship of Pentecostal believers who lay great emphasis on Holy Spirit Baptism after the manner of the experience of the Apostolic Church described in the second chapter of the Acts of the Apostles. This new Pentecostal revival that appeared at the turn of the twentieth century has penetrated the Christian Church globally. Believers who experienced salvation and fullness of the Holy Spirit discovered a divine solidarity among them and pledged to be united in worship, fellowship, scriptural instruction, and ministry.This gave birth to the General Council of the Assemblies of God in the United States of America in the year 1914, at Hot Springs, Arkansas. This Pentecostal fire spread all over the world,including India. The Assemblies of God work in In India is spread throughout India in three Regional Councils, South India Assemblies of God, Assemblies of God of North India, Assemblies of God of East India.
