Original Samples drummer (1987-1997) Jeep Macnichol recently travelled to Kingston, Jamaica with an acoustic guitar and drum machine. "My goal was to record the ultimate dancehall/triphop/party cd with all of my heros in reggae music", says Jeep. "Teaming up with legends like Sly&Robbie, Michael Rose from Black Uhuru, Bounty Killer, and Dave Wakeling from The English Beat among others was the experience of a lifetime for sure. I spent my life in high school listening to these guys, studying all of their styles and teaching myself how to play drums. To go from that to working and writing in the studio with these guys still blows me away...the whole experience was like something out of National Geographic." The album is called "Mr. Anonymous" and is now available at Jeep's new website Mranonymous.net. The site features sound clips, photos, and the whole story behind the project
