Funny Women was founded by Lynne Parker in 2002 to help women find their voice through performing, writing and using humour in business and everyday life. The Funny Women Awards were launched in 2003, and we’ve seen some fantastic acts pass through our doors who are now major names on the comedy circuit including Katherine Ryan, London Hughes, Kerry Godliman, Zoe Lyons, Susan Calman, Bridget Christie, Andi Osho and Sarah Millican. We run comedy workshops, weekend events and conferences in London, Manchester, Brighton, Paris and Amsterdam on stand up, comedy writing, improvisation, sketch and character, and open mic scratch nights to try out new comedy ideas.
