In 2008, Zai Xuda aka Zai Yuvat was inducted among the first of 3 collaborators in Suzuki Kaioh's early discography in Master Style Pros/Hokuto Kids/Decibel Camp Captives era, with Lokwan and Akil Jones.
Born January 14, 1986, at a refugee labor-camp in Thailand (Soun Napho refugee camp) (ethnicity: Lao). Zai Xuda a.k.a. "Zai Yuvat" translates in Lao as "Zai" meaning "boy" and "yuvat" meaning "at the temple". Zai Yuvat was adopted by Theravadin monks for an ordination, because of excessive crying during infancy. Relocated to a refugee camp on island of Bataahn (Philippines '87) (1990-1995 Angkor, USA = Lowell, MA)
Strongly moved by movies', & TV shows' soundtracks at age 11, Zai Yuvat developed a mild-appreciation for poetry, its elements, meter & form, & music. ມະຫາສະລະ Mahasala translates as "seeking vowels", "great vowels" or "revered vowels" in the Lao language. Inspired by individualism within the niche.
