CODAMIX is a cover band playing the Corporate music scene in and around Melbourne, Australia, since 1993. The band was originally formed by Singer Songwriter Vocalist and nowadays Manager, Gren Jones, along with keyboards player and founding member Marcus Gibson, and experienced drummer Noel Peters.
CODAMIX are arguably one of Melbourne's earliest Anglo-Indian dance and modern day party bands, a reputation credited to their passion for being one of the first harmony based bands playing music from the 70's soul and 80's disco era and introducing their repertoire to the Melbourne Anglo-Indian community. The band was formed as CODA, mostly from a mix of two previously successful South Indian university bands Moss and Down Sterling, who collectively shared a passion for soul funk music, having been heavily influenced by the R&B soul and funk harmony based bands of the 70's and 80's such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Little River Band, Toto, and The Doobie Brothers.
