The Daily Herald is a platform which comments on current affairs, and supports the Broad church of the UK Labour Party.
The Daily Herald was a British daily newspaper from 1912 to 1964, when it was relaunched as The Sun. Under George Lansbury's leadership from 1914 to 1922, the Herald achieved 150,000 sales daily. Lansbury later became Labour Party Leader from 1932 to 1935. In 1933, the Herald became the world's best-selling daily newspaper, with 2 million sales.
After Rupert Murdoch's take over of the Sun, the British press further turned politically Right-Wing. Now is the time to halt the rightward shift in our press.
