Cosmic Brahma is the brain child of Abhishek Chakraborty who hails from the gateway city of Assam i.e. Guwahati. As the name suggests, Cosmic means "Universal" and the name Brahma is the short name for mighty river "Brahmaputra", which is the only male river and it's recognized as the child of Lord Brahma and flows through the landlocked city of Guwahati. In his journey, of 20 years and counting, he saw himself evolve from DJ Abbhy back in 2005 in Bangalore-Goa into Cosmic Brahma in 2009. He has played in various stages across Goa, Delhi, Bangalore, Dubai, Nepal and many other places. His sounds are infused with crunchy and groovy basslines with swinging percussion which is infused with a great atmosphere and squelching leads. As he says, "Music is just like a vast ocean where even a pro can't swim it across" and so for him learning never ends. Presently, he owns and manages the International music label Brahmasutra Records from India.
