I believe we can come up with better inventions if we create in a fear-free atmosphere. I’m exploring how improv and research techniques can work together to better understand the world we live in. Improv is an art form with roots in theatre, which entails creating characters and stories without a script. It encourages collaboration, spontaneity, creativity and usually results in a great deal of fun ideas. Research is a rigurous form of investigating a topic, which involves literature review, method planning and development, experiments and results. Since my background is Computer Animation Research and Improv is one of my passions, I’ve decided to combine the two worlds and create Ana's Research and Play!
