OWA is home to a host of annual events, firework displays and holiday entertainment. Named “Attraction of the Year” by Alabama’s Tourism Department, OWA is the state’s newest major destination. OWA (oh-wah) is inspired by the Muscogee Creek word for “water.” The Park at OWA features 23+ thrilling attractions and is open seasonally. Downtown OWA is an admission-free, pedestrian-only entertainment district, open daily featuring big names like Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Legends in Concert as well as coastal favorites like Murder Creek Distillery and Gravity Island Watersports! You can even stay the night at the award-winning TownePlace Suites by Marriott. Future plans for OWA include a luxury RV park and indoor water park.
