The “Queer” Asia Conference is the first ever Asia centered conference on queerness/ queer theory/ LGBT issues/ themes. The next edition of the conference will be held at SOAS, University of London in June, 2017. The aim of the conference is to bring together a wide range of academics and activists working at the intersections of “Queer” and “Asia.” It facilitates an interdisciplinary and inter-regional exchange of ideas, builds enriching networks towards beginning a pan-Asian dialogue on LGBT and/or Queer struggles in Asia.
