Our media landscape is changing at lightning speed. Less and less people are watching television and listening to the radio. Use of the internet and digital platforms are on the rise. And it doesn’t stop with just watching and listening: we share, reply, copy and recreate. These changes in the consumption of media have a huge influence in how it is created. This is why VPRO opened a laboratory in April 2015 to carry out research into the newest ways of making and using media: the VPRO Medialab.
We bring together radical media innovators, creative coders, concept developers, pioneering journalists, scientists and futurists in Meet Ups, Hackathons and experiments. Together we explore the future of storytelling and experiment with new technologies.
