I am a professional writer, astrophotographer and film producer---- I have good equipment but am upgrading and adding to it monthly-- I use a Stellarvue 70mm Triplet refractor, and a RC 8 inch reflector (copy of Hubble), connected to a Nikon d810, and a QY5 II. My book that is coming out is about the ancient cosmic wars, dating back to the very beginning of our known universe, My chronology begins about three billion years ago and leads up to the present era focusing on the events of 13,000 years ago when Venus came within Roche limits of the earth. Like Dr. Tom Van Flandern (in his exploding planet thesis), we believe this was the result of "deliberate Actions". We also follow the recent work of Dr. John Brandenburg "The Death of Mars"-- Additionally we see a connection with the LHC and the Dwave quantum computer--
