I found fishing when sidelined from the professional foosball tour with an injury. I was needing a new challenge and wanting to start at the very bottom of something, and since I've always been happiest in the outdoors I bought a little sit-in paddle kayak and a book on how to fish by Kevin VanDam, found a local kayak bass fishing tournament trail and started trying to figure it all out. I documented my experiences on my GirlGoneFishing YouTube channel and when my GGF videos caught the eye of our local shop, Strictly Sail & Kayak, they invited me onto their Strictly Sail & Kayak Fishing Team, and I met my Hobie Lynx, the life-changing, amazing pedal kayak that is light enough for me to car-top, stable enough that I felt safe, and high-performance enough to be competitive at these tournaments. In 2025 Strictly Sail nominated me to the Hobie Fishing Team as one of their dealer reps. Fishing has changed my life and I am so grateful I found this sport and the wonderful people in it!
