Worldly rhythmic, warm, honest, outsider pop. The Micro Band are Alex Auldsmith, Lucie Yavruturk, Daniel Crichton, Ruaridh Morrison, Sam Dick, Euan Macpherson and Sally Jaquet. Formed ten years ago as a project to get into Kelburn Garden Party for free, the band have stuck together through thick and thin, gathering a loyal army of fans, captivated by their interpretations of singer Alex Auldmsmith's compositions and fierce reputation as a live band who are as comfortable playing on a festival main stage as they are in the back of an Ex-Army Truck. 2026 sees the band release their biggest recording project to date. Self funded by the band after moonlighting for a year as a Soul & Funk Cover band. The upcoming album features compositions that have been in the works for up to five years, and promises to be their truest expression of work to date. They have also started their own independent record label New Teeth Leith.
