VOV VOV! came to life between March and April 2023 in Florence, founded by three members of the band: Giulio (drums), Pier Paolo (guitar) and Francesca (vocals and keyboards). The first tracks were born out of rehearsal-room improvisations or from melodic cores and mutual cross-pollination. This workflow has remained a constant even after the band expanded with the addition of Giovanni (guitar) and Zoe (bass). With the full VOV VOV! lineup, the band arrived at a more stable sound and a clear artistic direction, integrating elements such as the concept of repetition from krautrock, easy-listening-influenced sounds and melodies, and dreamlike aspects typical of shoegaze. In 2025, the band joined the roster of independent label Factory Flaws, with whom they released their debut EP *Sunbathing In A Magnetic Field* and the EP *Hot Jams Need Two Gloves*
