Katharina Cording has dedicated herself to music and violin since her earliest childhood.
Her repertoire includes the six sonatas and partitas by Bach, the six sonatas for solo violin by Ysaÿe, the 24 caprices of Paganini, the violin concertos by Mozart, as well as those by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Bruch, Brahms, Schumann, Karłowicz, Wieniawski, Szymanowski, Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Bartók and Shostakovich.
Her musical roots belong to the violin tradition of Eastern Europe. She was the youngest student of the Polish violin icon Wanda Wilkomirska. She also studied with Sören Uhde, a graduate of the Juilliard School in New York. She graduated with honors from the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, where Helmut Zehetmair and Ruggiero Ricci were among her teachers.
Katharina Cording has performed in Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, England, Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
