Chr. Hansen has combined with Novozymes to become Novonesis: youtube.com/@novonesis. This global company of 10,000 people is transforming how the world produces, consumes and lives. In 30-plus industries, its biosolutions help businesses meet their needs and the needs of our planet. Chr. Hansen was founded in 1874 by a Danish pharmacist. The company developed natural ingredient solutions for the food, nutritional, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries. It had unique microbial and fermentation technology platforms and a collection of around 50,000 microbial strains. In December 2022, Chr. Hansen and Novozymes agreed to combine. The combination was completed on January 29, 2024, and Novonesis was born.
