Cytonics is a biotechnology research and development company that specializes in developing diagnostics and therapeutics for osteoarthritis. One of our products was licensed FACT™ to Synthes (acquired by Johnson & Johnson) in 2011. Since then, our use of FAC as a biomarker for osteoarthritis led to the identification of a naturally-occurring blood protein, Alpha-2 Macroglobulin (A2M). So we developed an autologous therapy (APIC™) which is sold directly to physicians by a national medical device distributor since 2015. We are now developing new A2M-based therapies with the goal of out-licensing to strategic partners. Cytonics’ mission is to rid the world of the pain, suffering, and reduced quality of life caused by osteoarthritis.
