SOTA ("School of the Arts") Productions is a yearlong experiential learning course, which is part of the core curriculum in order for Music Industry program students to earn their Bachelor of Arts in Music. However, SOTA often becomes a collective community of CSU Chico Music Industry and Recording Arts majors, both as current students and alumni of Chico State. One of our many missions over the years has been to help aspiring local artists and music professionals to develop and expand their potential, while students in the course developing their own skills and futures as industry professionals. The context changes with each student team's vision, choice of project and class year, but event planning/promotion, artist management and digital/live strategy are common goals as students "learn by doing". This channel is being established in 2020 to offer a variety of musical examples, tastes and talents from the heart of Chico, CA, now and in the years to come. We hope you enjoy!
