Hey, we’re Alex and Meg — the Slow Roamers. We believe tiny living can lead to a bigger, more meaningful life built around adventure, creativity, and freedom. For the past two years, we’ve been exploring the Americas in our self-built Chevy Express van, Betty, documenting both the beauty and reality of life on the road. Now we’re entering a new chapter: slowing down on the coast of British Columbia to build Jerry — a fully custom 1990 Chevy K2500 and pop-up camper designed for long-term world travel. What began as a road trip through the Americas is evolving into a much bigger dream: building a vehicle capable of taking us anywhere on earth. Alex thrives in wide open spaces and ambitious builds and creating a story wherever we go, while Meg brings warmth, authenticity, and incredible food to life on the road. Together, we share the process of creating a life by hand — one rooted in adventure, simplicity, and curiosity.
