Derived from the words 'Rock' and 'Jazz', Raz is an Essex-based originals band seeking to cross musical boundaries, and change music as we know it through their experimentation of jazz, funk, pop, rock fusion. Raz's 3rd studio album 'Inside Sonic Wilderness' now OUT online: razbanduk.hearnow.com/ Raz began as a trio in college and university. In May 2014 they played their first gig in Swinburne Hall, Colchester Institute. In 2015, Raz began to form a vision of establishing what they are all about - a multi-genre mainly instrumental originals band with the mission of crossing musical boundaries. In 2016, the band began to record and released their demo CD ‘Parallel Dimensions’ In 2018, Raz's 1st album 'A Touch of Obscure Colour' was released In 2021, Raz's 2nd album 'Free to Do Anything' was released In 2025, Raz's 3rd album 'Inside Sonic Wilderness' has just been released!
