Hey there, I'm Ashley, the Alaska Urban Hippie. I'm living in Anchorage, Alaska, loving life in the last frontier. I have neighbors and I live in an urban, city neighborhood, but I keep backyard chickens, grow an organic vegetable garden, keep honey bees, plant cold-hardy fruit trees, and hot compost. I'm actively turning my city lot into a mini backyard farm. I'm not an expert, but I'm learning along the way and sharing my experiences.
