Paul Schmidt is a Greenville, SC native with ties to Charleston, SC.
As a passion-filled self-taught turntablist, Paul began sharpening
his skills in front of small crowds in the Charleston,SC market.
His love for hip hop music directed Paul into producing tracks
for local artists. Paul continued to show his promise as a producer,
which lead him to Djing. His reputation became so esteemed that
bookings increased for local parties and venues to where he
developed his stage name DJ Sparkbox, for always showing
up with the spark of energy.
DJ Sparkbox has performed alongside acts such as AC Slater,
Craze, GTA, and world-famous Diplo, to name a few. He humbly
travels regionally in the southeast while he continues to hold a
residency in Charleston South Carolina's premier night clubs.
To date, DJ Sparkbox has become one of the most sought after
DJs in South Carolina. His national appearances on DJ City
have led him up and down the east coast as well as Toronto.
