Thanks for actually reading the channel description. #DCSH is to share projects in and around the house related to electronics, DC power, renewables, LED lighting, home automation, upcycling, transportation and special needs.
We just bought a 1960's house in Dublin and I have the opportunity to do some things "right" from the start, like cabling and a dedicated "comms" cabinet.
Word of warning: I'm cheap. I'd rather spend time to fix something up and learn than pay. On the other hand, as the special needs above indicate, this is not your average household and things have to be safe and accessible.

Constructive criticism is always welcome but you have to do some basic research on Wikipedia, Batteryuniversity, SparkFun, Adafruit, Instructables etc.
