Crayone (pronounced as “Cray-Own”) is an internationally known Muralist/Street Artist living in San Francisco. His work have appeared in many published books; The History of American Graffiti, Freight Train Graffiti, Graffito, SprayCan Art and many others.
Locally he is credited as one of the early pioneers of the Graffiti Art Movement in the early 80’s. He helped develop many painting styles such as “New Wave” and painting techniques and created the first Bay Area Graffiti crew called TWS, Together With Style. Unlike many of his counterparts, Crayone’s work has never wavered or let up ever since he touched his first spray can. The amount of work is vast enough that currently he is working on a 40 years retrospective book.
