Some like it "noir". Sky Blue creates an intensely atmospheric and highly seductive sonic world – their very own brand of hypnotic alternative rock with a dark pop twist. The name Sky Blue Skin comes from the title of a demo by Jeff Buckley, one of singer/songwriter Olivia Solner’s favorite artists. She made her live debut under this moniker in 2016. With the addition of drummer Vinzent Kusche in 2017 and keyboard player Jakob Heeren in 2018, the project has been evolving constantly, showcasing its ever-uncompromising creativity. The band’s first EP (released June 1, 2018) features four songs written by Olivia that range from alluring “pop noir” to grungy blues rock. This is a band you should definitely check out. And most definitely keep on your radar.
